Abbey Charitable Trust The Abbey Charitable Trust is for projects with charitable status. It favours small, local charities and also prefers to fund a complete project rather than make a partial donation to a fundraising campaign. It focuses on areas where it has established community partnership groups- these are Camden, Glasgow, Bradford, Milton Keynes, Sheffield, Northern Ireland and Teesside. Outside of these areas grants can be from £250 to £2,500 but within the ceiling is £20,000 |

Alec Dickson The Alec Dickson Trust was formed in 1994 as a memorial to Alec Dickson, the founder of Voluntary Service Overseas and Community Service Volunteers. Reaching Communities A 3 year England wide programme launched by Big Lottery, to provide funding for projects that respond to needs identified by communities. Grants are between £10,000 and £50,000 and are Capital and Revenue grants for England wide projects lasting upto 5 years. Funds are to help improve local communities and the lives of the people most in need. The programme is open to registered charities, voluntary or community groups, statutory bodies, charitable or not-for-profit companies and social enterprises. |

Green Space A registered charity set up to help those committed to the planning, design, management and use of public parks and open spaces. Previously known as the 'Urban Parks Forum', GreenSpace has grown from strength to strength and has formed strong relationships with the key government departments, agencies and non-governmental organisations involved in parks and public spaces. Grants do not usually exceed £50,000 but may be used for a wide variety of purposes including playground equipment. |

Advice Plus Advice Plus funded £50m between 2006 and 2009. Projects can apply for between £10,000 and £500,000 for capital and revenue projects lasting upto 5 years. It is funded by the Big Lottery Fund. The aim of Advice Plus is to ensure more people have access to advise services that help them access benefits they may be entitled to, in areas such as housing, education, health and welfare. Voluntary and community bodies in England- including charities, credit unions, self-help groups, social and community enterprises and community-based co-ops. |

Action Earth Scotland Action Earth Scotland provide small grants up to £50. They are funded by Scottish Natural Heritage administered by Community Service Volunteers. They aim to involve voluntary organisations, schools, businesses and community groups in projects of environmental benefit. Anyone can apply, but the focus is on areas of social disadvantage and those which have not previously been involved in environmental work. |

Welsh Assembly Government- Grant is specific to Wales
The Welsh Assembly Government money is used by its staff, the public bodies it sponsors and those of Assembly Government Sponsored Public Bodies (AGSPBs) for funding and for making available grants schemes and initiatives in line with the Assembly Government's agenda. Parks for People
Parks for People offers grants for projects involving urban or rural green spaces designed for informal recreation and enjoyment. The definition of a park for this programme is as follows: an existing designed urban or rural green space, the main purpose of which is for informal recreation and enjoyment. it includes parks, gardens, squares, walks and promenades. Grants are between £250,000 and £5million. Project planning grants of up to £50,000 are also available. |
